When it comes to 5G development, we could say that Apple is months behind. However, according to analysts, the tech giant will catch up with the many 5G Android devices.
Reports have it that Apple will release 5G iPhones this year. Not only that, but the company will also release the 5G iPad. This 5G iPad will arrive alongside Apple’s 2020 iPhones (the iPhone 12 series) in the second half of the year.
Apple now reportedly has a new component supplier for the 5G iPad. Also now a part of the supply chain is ASE Semiconductor, a Taiwanese component company. According to reports from an insider, ASE will use Flip Chip Antenna Package technology in Apple’s mmWave 5G iPhone and 5G iPad.
Also, according to the report, while Apple will launch its 5G iPad later this year, the company will update the iPad Pro in the first half of the year. We do not yet have official information regarding the upcoming iPhones and iPad.
