Today, we saw a glimpse of the upcoming Clamshell foldable smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy Fold 2. The images seen on Weibo and also posted by Ice Universe, shows the design of the Fold 2.
The device has folds vertically and has a Infinity-O display. It has punch-hole at the top centre of the dipslay which houses the selfie camera. When folded, the device transforms into a clamshell which has a small display at the bottom corner left corner showing notifications, date and time. Beside it, is a LED flash and a dual-camera.
The device runs on the Samsung’s One UI. The back of the device is made of glass. The volume and power buttons of the device are on the upper right-hand side of the device. The Type-C port of the Galaxy Fold 2 is at the button.
The Galaxy Fold 2 is set to be released on February 18 alongside the Galaxy S11 series. Samsung decided to adopt the Clamshell design this year, like the Motorola RAZR; a move to make the device less expensive. The Galaxy Fold 2 will cost around $1000.
