The Huawei MatePad Pro was launched today in China. As we expected, the MatePad Pro comes with all the specifications that is typical of a flagship tablet. The tablets comes with features targeted at professionals.
The device has fascinating features. The MatePad Pro has a 10.8-inch display with a 2560×1600 QHD resolution. In the camera department, It has a 8MP punchhole front camera and a 13MP back camera. It uses highest range of chipset produced by Huawei, the Kirin 990.
The MatePad Pro comes with the M-Pencil stylus, which attaches to the tablet magnetically. The M-Pencil also has wireless charging support, and can work for ten minutes straight after a 30 second charge.
Interestingly, the Huawei MatePad Pro is also the first tablet to have the wireless charging feature. It also supports reverse wireless charging, which supports charging for other smartphones when placed on the back of the tablet.
In comparison with the iPad Pro, the Huawei MatePad Pro bezel thickness of 4.9mm which is super thin against the 8.3mm of the iPad Pro. The battery has a capacity of 7,250mAh, with 40W super fast charging. It also has wireless charging at 15W and reverse wireless charging at 7.5W.
The Huawei MatePad Pro will run on EMUI 10 based on Android 10. The Huawei MatePad Pro 6GB RAM and 128GB version (Wi-Fi only) is priced at 3299 Yuan ($470), the 6GB RAM/128GB LTE is priced at 3799 Yuan ($540), the 8GB/256GB version (Wi-Fi only) is priced at 3999 Yuan ($570), 8GB/256GB LTE version costs 4499 Yuan ($640). The price rises to 4999 Yuan ($710) for the 8GB/256GB WiFi version that comes with an additional keyboard and M-Pencil, while the 8GB/521LTE variant costs 5999 Yuan ($850).
