Apple has plans of shipping the first batch of the iPhone 12 series smartphones to stores on October 5. This batch will include the regular iPhone 12 as well as the more affordable iPhone 12 Mini. Both of these phones will come in three memory configurations – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.
Popular leakster Jon Prosser disclosed this in a post on Twitter. He also noted that only the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini will have 64GB variants. The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are expected to start at 128GB.
iPhone 12 series Price and Launch Date
The regular iPhone 12 will be the most affordable 5G phone of the bunch. It is expected to be priced at $1,000. This is according to new data published on the web. With an extra $100, you will be able to get the iPhone 12 Pro. The iPhone 12 Pro Max will be the most expensive of all, with sources pricing it at $1,200 – $1,300. The iPhone 12 Mini will only cost around $700 but it will not support 5G.
The launch event of the iPhone 12 series is expected to take place on October 13.
The $700 price tag of the iPhone 12 Mini may be considered a lot, especially considering the fact that that is about the same price in the United States for a brand new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Even the OnePlus 8T with 5G support is not expected to be much cheaper.
