In LG’s earnings report for the second quarter of 2020, the company revealed its plans to launch a number of affordable 5G smartphones later this year. We have now seen a leak of the specs and design of one of such smartphones, the LG Q92.
The LG Q92 is a 5G-enabled mid-range smartphone that will likely give other mid-range phones a run for their money. The phone is built around a 6.7-inch FHD+ punch-hole display. The punch-hole cutout sits in the middle of the top of the display. It houses the device’s 32MP selfie camera.
The leak also revealed that the LG Q92 5G will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. This will be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In the camera department, the LG Q92 5G will sport a quad-camera setup. This setup will feature a 48MP primary shooter.
Powering the LG Q92 will be a 4,000mAh battery. However, the leak did not reveal anything about the charging speeds that the device will support. The phone will sport stereo speakers with “AI Sound”. It will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
According to the leaked images, the LG Q92 5G will use LG’s new “natural” design language. We first saw this in the LG Velvet which launched back in May. The Q92 5G is expected to be available in three color options – Ceramic White, Mirror Titanium, and Mirror Red. It may launch at IFA 2020 in September.
