Verizon subscribers were treated to a very amazing surprise on the 18th of August. The breath-taking news announced on the platform was the availability of the LG Velvet 5G UW on the Carrier from Friday, August 21. The availability of the device on the carrier will make Verizon the only U.S. carrier to have this amazing device with an Aurora Red color.
The device will be available at a retail price of $699, which breaks down to $29.17 a month for 24 months. Also, for early birds, the device can be gotten for a fair price of $10 a month with a new line of service on a premium Unlimited Plan.
Initially announced in May, the LG Velvet is a sleek new flagship which features a 6.8-inch OLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, 6GB RAM, triple rear cameras, 4300mAh battery, stylus support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device also appears to feature support for LG’s Dual screen accessory.
The phone will support Verizon’s 5G mmWave “Ultra-Wideband” network, as well as its 5G sub-6GHz “Nationwide” network, which will be available soon.
There is also the possibility of Verizon giving users a $350 guarantee with a trade-in for the LG Velvet. The above decision is to help users offset the extra $100 cost of purchasing the support for the mmWave 5G. Even at that, there are certain conditions, which need to be met for subscribers to get the guarantee.
Some of the conditions include: Such member must be on a Premium Unlimited plan, the trade-in device must be in working condition, and the discount is applied via a recurring 24-month bill credit. Another thing is that the bootloader won’t be available for unlock on other models, except the European models.
