According to a Twitter user, Motorola has begun the roll-out of the Android 8.0 Oreo for the Moto X4, a mid-range smartphone which was launched in November, 2017.

The update, which has a build number of OPW27.2 is expected to be available to users of the Moto X4 as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update. This report by the Twitter user quite follows the timeline already presented by the Company.

The Android Oreo update for the Moto X4 does not only come with the beautiful features of Android Oreo (such as Picture-in-Picture support, notification dots, app optimisations and better battery management algorithms) but also with the latest 1st December, 2017 Android security patch, plus some stability improvements.

The Moto X4 launched in two variants – 3GB RAM/ 32GB internal storage, and 4GB RAM/ 64GB internal storage. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery and supports TurboCharge. This device features a dual-camera setup at the back – a primary 12MP sensor and a secondary 8MP sensor. It has a 16MP camera with a dedicated LED flash in front.
