Motorola RAZR 2019 has just been announced in the United States on November 13, 2019, and pre-order has been slated for December 26.
The Motorola RAZR 2019 will be exclusive to Verizon in the US at launch and will cost just $1,499. This is quite on the low side when compared to the Galaxy Fold, Samsung’s own foldable smartphone. The RAZR 2019 will arrive in Stores in January. It will also be available in Canada unlocked.
The RAZR 2019 has a flip phone design which Motorola calls the “Flex Design”. The RAZR will keep the flip phone design and is essentially a smartphone that can fold in half. With the Clamshell design, it protects the phone when it is folded in half. It is foldable in half, from to top-to-down format. This fold is across the screen horizontally.
The clamshell design and outer shell are made from Stainless Steel, which is quite similar to first-generation RAZRs.
The Motorola RAZR 2019 looks like a regular smartphone when unfolded. It runs Android 9 Pie with a Motorola custom Interface. The RAZR uses a 2.2GHz Snapdragon processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage (no MicroSD slot). It is powered by a non-removable battery of 2,510mAh capacity with a 15W fast charging feature. It utilizes a USB Type-C port.
The Motorola RAZR 2019 will officially launch in January but pre-orders from Motorola, Walmart and Verizon will begin in December in the US.
