While waiting for the powerful devices from the major players in the smartphone market today – Samsung, Google, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc., we can now get some devices from not-so-known names as well.

An example of such is the Moviphone, manufactured by Wireless Mobi Solution. The Moviphone is an Android device with a built-in laser projector.

While the projector is a catchy feature, the Moviphone sports other amazing features as well.

Having a 5.5-inch screen, it is an ideal device for users who like a fairly large screen. In addition, it comes with a 1080p display.

The Moviphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750V chip, and runs on 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage space. It also runs Android Nougat.

With a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, you can be sure of quite decent pictures on the Moviphone. It comes with a 4,000mAh battery to make the device last fairly long on battery usage.

While these features are good on their own, the main feature of the Moviphone is a 50-lumen laser projector that supports 720p resolution at up to 100 inches, with an 80,000:1 contrast ratio. This in-built projector can be used to display whatever is on the smartphone, whether it’s a movie, game, picture, or even just the home screen.

Even though all this may seem exciting, it is of note that smartphone-based projectors are not a new idea. The functionality is already present on Moto Z devices with the Moto Mod, currently on sale). The Samsung Galaxy Beam also has a projector.

The Moviphone is available now for $599. Click here to register for the phone on Moviphones website.
