HMD unveiled the Nokia 9 PureView in early 2019. It came as a shock to many that the device launched with a 2018 Snapdragon chipset.
Now, according to a leakster, HMD wants to avoid a repetition of such. However, what this means, unfortunately, is that the company has pushed back the announcement of the Nokia 9.2 to the autumn season.
The Nokia 9.1 was supposed to be unveiled in Q4 last year or early this year. Unfortunately, that launch has been delayed again, according to various rumors. That is probably why we are having the Nokia 9.2 now – to keep the name of the new flagship in line with the rest of the Nokia lineup.
According to the rumors, the device was supposed to feature the Snapdragon 855 chipset. There was to be a 5G version using the Snapdragon 855+chipset. However, it appears now that there will be just one phone – the Nokia 9.2. It will have 5G connectivity and feature the Snapdragon 865 chipset.
