After quite the wait, the OnePlus 7T Pro is now official. OnePlus launched the phone today, and it comes with all the major upgrades that one would expect. In addition to the OnePlus 7T Pro, the company also unveiled the McLaren Edition. The McLaren Edition’s exterior draws inspiration from the racing legend.
The OnePlus 7T Pro comes with the Snapdragon 855+ chipset. This same chipset is found in the Black Shark 2 Pro, the Realme X2, and the nubia Red Magic 3s. The OnePlus 7T Pro promises 15% higher graphics performance, thanks to higher clock speeds.
One interesting thing to note is that there is only one memory configuration of the OnePlus 7T Pro available. The company has axed the 6GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB versions. So, you only get an 8GB RAM plus 256GB internal storage configuration on the device. The McLaren Edition, however, offers you 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The OnePlus 7T Pro comes with a triple-camera setup on the back, with the macro mode from the 7T. Also, the 7T Pro boasts a longer focal length on its zoom camera than the 7T. The 48MP main sensor and the 16MP ultra-wide sensor are the same. The 16MP pop-up selfie camera also remains the same.
Both the 7T and 7T Pro will launch with OxygenOS 10, based on Android 10. However, the McLaren Edition comes with some exclusive features. Notifications illuminate the curved sides of the display in the trademark papaya orange color. It also comes with McLaren-themed wallpapers and icons.
The OnePlus 7T Pro supports Warp Charge 30T. This is 23% faster than the 30W charger that debuted with the OnePlus 7 phones.
