The POCO M2 is the toned-down version of the POCO M2 Pro, but its specs are still impressive. The device is built with a 6.53-inch FullHD+ display that features a waterdrop notch. This display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
Going around the back of the phone, we see a two-tone pattern with “anti-fingerprint texture”. According to the official poster, it will also have a better grip and a better in-hand feel.
The phone sports a quad camera setup on the rear, comprising a 13MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro unit, and a 2MP depth sensor. The 8MP selfie camera sits in the notch on the front of the device.
On the internal end of things, the POCO M2 uses the Helio G80 chipset. This is the same chip found in the recently-announced Huawei Y9a. The M2 runs MIUI 11 based on Android 10 with the brand promising to roll out MIUI 12 soon. Also, according to POCO, unlike other MIUI-running Mi and Redmi phones, the M2 will not come with ads.
The POCO M2 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. However, the phone ships with only a 10W charging adapter. If you want faster charging, you will have to spend more money.
In terms of memory, the POCO M2 comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It has a dedicated microSD slot for expanding the storage by up to 512GB. The phone sports a 3.5mm headphone jack and has an IR Blaster.
