Realme 6 series is now official; the Pro version is the first phone to use the Snapdragon 720G chip

Realme has finally unveiled the highly-anticipated Realme 6 series. The company already canceled the on-ground event over concerns about the Coronavirus. However, we have now seen the devices in the series – the Realme 6 and the Realme 6 Pro.

Some of the notable features of the new device include a 90Hz refresh rate and 30W fast-charging. Both devices also feature a punch-hole display.

The Realme 6 sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a single punch-hole. The device uses a MediaTek Helio G90T chipset. This makes it the second device to use this chipset after the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

The Realme 6 comes with a quad-camera setup on the rear. This setup comprises a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP mono sensor. Sitting in the punch-hole on the front is a 16MP selfie camera. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the power button.

Running RealmeUI based on Android 10, the Realme 6 is powered by a 4,300mAh battery with support for 30W fast-charging. It is available in 4GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB color options.

The Realme 6 costs INR 12,999 (approximately $176) for the base 4GB+64GB version. The 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB versions go for INR 14,999 (roughly $203) and INR 15,999 (roughly $216) respectively.

The Realme 6 Pro sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD panel. It features a dual-punch-hole on the display to house its dual-front camera setup.

The device also sports a quad-camera setup on the rear with a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 12MP telephoto shooter, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, it features a 16MP wide and an 8MP ultrawide camera.

The Realme 6 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, the first smartphone to do so. It also runs on a 4,300mAh battery with support for 30W fast-charging.

Just like the Realme 6, the Realme 6 Pro runs the new RealmeUI based on Android 10. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the power button.

The Realme 6 Pro will be available in three RAM+storage configurations – 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, and 8GB+128GB.

Realme 6 Pro Price

The 6GB+64GB version of the Realme 6 Pro has a price tag of INR 16,999 (approximately $230). The 6GB+128GB version costs INR 17,999 (roughly $243) while the 8GB+128GB version goes for INR 18,999 (about $257).
