A recent update has just confirmed that the Redmi 9 will be launched in India on the 27th of August 2020. This update was officially gotten from the company’s Twitter handle, and the device is believed to be a slightly tweaked version of the Redmi 9C which was released in Malaysia back in June.
A countdown has been initiated for the Redmi 9’s launch on the Mi.com’s event page. Aside that, the page displayed an overview of the device’s specifications, which as we reviewed are far better than the other series.

A fingerprint scanner was also spotted on of the images on Mi.com’s event page; the fingerprint scanner was located on the same place as that of the Redmi 9C. Also, another hint pointing towards the device being tweaked is the range of colors available on the event page –orange, and blue.
The event page shows a notched display on the Redmi 9, stating the phone will be launched with MIUI 12 and “HyperEngine Game Technology.” When you think of big, Redmi should come to mind! This Rockstar has more RAM and Storage than any other Redmi phone available. Compared to the Redmi 9C which is available with a 6.53-inch display, MTK Helio G35 processor, Android 10, 32GB – 2GB Storage, and a 5000mAh batter. The Redmi 9 on the other hand, is available with 64GB – 4GB storage, 6. 53-inch display, and a 5,020mAh battery.
