Redmi K30 5G is sold for $284; costs just $250 to manufacture

The Redmi K30 5G was released earlier this week at a price of $284. The pricing of the device is astonishing, considering its features – including 5G support.
Xiaomi phones are actually good value for money, especially when the cost of components used is considered.

The Redmi K30 5G is no different. A Chinese analyst added up the costs of the components used in the Redmi K30 5G. This calculation did not factor in the resources spent in R&D of the device. The value of the components used in the Redmi K30 5G is just 250$, according to the analyst. This is just $34 short of the official pricing of the 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage of the device. The Redmi K30 5G is priced at 1,999 Yuan (approximately $284).
It leaves us wondering if Xiaomi might make profits from the device when the costs of the manufacturing, distribution, promotion, research and development are added as well.
