Sharp AQUOS V goes official with Snapdragon 835 and 3,090mAh Battery

Sharp has just announced a new mid-range phone which the company calls the AQUOS V. The AQUOS V sports quite interesting specs, especially in the choice of a chipset. Sharp decided to go back to 2017 to use the Snapdragon 835 SoC. With this chipset, it is interesting that the company touts the phone a “national flagship”.

The AQUOS V comes with a 5.93-inch IPS FHD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080. Another interesting feature is that this display is free of any notch or cutout.
On the back of the device, we see a dual-camera setup. The main camera is a 13MP f/2.0 shooter with OIS. The secondary camera is also a 13MP shooter. The device comes equipped with an 8MP camera on the front.
The Sharp AQUOS V comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This internal storage is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
The AQUOS V will run Android 9 Pie out of the box. It will come with a fingerprint sensor on the rear. The device will come with a 3.5mm headphone jack in the top-right corner and will sport a USB Type-C port. It will have support for Bluetooth 5.0
Sharp AQUOS V Price and Availability
The Sharp AQUOS V has been launched in Taiwan. It has a price tag of TWD6,990 and is available in Starry Black color. This is roughly $230. However, we do not yet have any word about the global availability of the device.
