Samsung is reportedly planning to make the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy S11 series available in several regions. This is a change from the pattern followed in recent years on the availability of the Galaxy S and Note Series based on the region.
Usually, the Snapdragon variant of the S series is available to only the US and China, and the Exynos variant is available in other markets. A new report from The Elec, however indicates that the Snapdragon 865 variant of the Galaxy S11 series will be available in all regions excluding Europe.
This will be a bold move from Samsung to dump its own Exynos chipset for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. It would be a good choice as well, with the Snapdragon 865 Chipset boasting of more efficiency than the Exynos chipset.
However, Samsung is yet to confirm to this information. The Galaxy S11 series is expected to be launched on February 18 according to recent rumors.
