Sharp is set to launch the first smartphone with an amazing 240Hz refresh rate into the market. The Sharp AQUOS Zero 2 will be the first smartphone to reach a refresh rate of 240Hz, which is what is obtainable only on advanced gaming monitors.

The 240Hz OLED screen is not the Sharp AQUOS Zero 2’s only selling point. The device also has 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also makes use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855.
The Sharp AQUOS Zero 2 has a 6.4-inch screen. However, it has a disappointingly low 3,130mAh battery. It is left to be seen how long the battery can effectively power the device with a 240Hz rate. That refresh rate is two times more than that of the Asus ROG Phone II gaming smartphone.

The Sharp AQUOS Zero 2 will be available on sale by the first quarter of 2020 in Japan. The device has been launched in Taiwan but is yet to be available on sale, as it has not received certification in the country.
