We are already coming to the end of 2019. Yet, in the short period remaining, many smartphones will still launch. From the Moto razr 2019 to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, there is quite the number. Also on the list are the Samsung Galaxy A51 and the Oppo Reno 3 5G.
This list is divided into phones that will launch globally and phones that will launch in India. So, without further ado, these are the upcoming phones launching in December 2019.
Upcoming Phones in December 2019 (Global)
Huawei will launch the Nova 6 5G in December. The Nova 6 series comes as a followup to the Huawei Nova 5 series. The Nova 6 series will reportedly come with a bigger form factor than the Nova 5 series.
According to early leaks and rumors, the Huawei Nova 6 may sport a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. This display will have a pill-shaped punch-hole setup to house the selfie cameras. The device will come with a dual 32MP+12MP selfie camera setup.
The Nova 6 5G will feature Huawei’s flagship Kirin 990 chipset with 5G support. It may come with at least three cameras on the rear, arranged vertically at the upper left corner.
The device may come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. We also expect it to enjoy 4,000mAh of battery juice with support for 40W Magic Charge.
The Oppo Reno 3 5G is one of the most highly-anticipated phones of December 2019. Oppo has slated the launch of the mid-range device for December. The launch will take place in China.
The Oppo Reno 3 5G will be the first smartphone featuring ColorOS 7 out of the box. One of the major highlights of the Oppo Reno 3 is that it will launch with 5G connectivity.
The Oppo Reno 3 5G will sport a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1800 pixels. It will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device may come with a 4,500mAh battery with support for 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging. We expect it to come with a quad-camera setup on the rear. There are rumors that the Oppo Reno 3 5G could be the first smartphone to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 chipset. While at this, Oppo is working on its own mobile chipset, the Oppo M1.
The Oppo Reno 3 5G reportedly has a price tag of about Rs 33,000 (about $461).
The Poco F2 will launch as the successor of the popular Poco F1 from Xiaomi. This smartphone is currently the subject of rumors.
According to rumors, the Poco F2 will be an affordable flagship offering. It will sport the Snapdragon 855 chipset. A new Spigen case leak has shown that the device may look like the Redmi K20 Pro in terms of design.
The Poco F2 may come with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. We expect to see a vertically-aligned camera setup on the rear and a pop-up selfie camera.
Vivo recently unveiled the Vivo S5 with the smallest punch-hole ever on a smartphone. Also, yesterday, a new Vivo phone got TENAA Certification. However, the rave of the moment is the upcoming Vivo X30.
The Vivo X30 is expected to launch in December with a 6.5-inch display. The phone will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will use Samsung’s new Exynos 980 flagship 5G chipset. This is reportedly the same chipset on the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G. The Vivo X30 will come with a 64MP+8MP+13MP+2MP quad-camera setup on the rear.
Vivo may also launch a Vivo X30 Pro model. This is expected to come with a 6.89-inch display. It will sport a 64MP+13MP+13MP+2MP quad-rear camera setup. It may enjoy up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.
Vivo has not yet officially announced the launch date for the Vivo X30 series.
Upcoming Phones in December 2019 (India)
Samsung already released three members of the Galaxy S10 series earlier this year. However, that is apparently not the end of the road for the series. Reports have it that Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S10 Lite in India come December.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will reportedly feature a 6.69-inch display and sport the Snapdragon 855 chipset. It will come with a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP shooter. It may also have a 32MP camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone will reportedly support 45W fast charging.
Samsung may soon add a new phone to its Galaxy A series this December. The Samsung Galaxy A51 is expected to launch in India in December as a mid-range smartphone. This would be the successor of the Samsung Galaxy A50s that was recently launched in the country.
The Samsung Galaxy A51 will reportedly sport a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display. It will feature the Exynos 9611 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM. There will be two storage options of 64GB and 128GB.
The device could come with a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP main shooter, a 12MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 5MP depth sensor. It will have a 32MP camera in the front. The phone will reportedly run Android 10 out of the box, and be powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
Motorola unveiled the razr 2019 in November at an event in Los Angeles. The phone is expected to launch in December. The Motorola razr 2019 is one foldable phone that comes with lots of nostalgia.
Motorola has not yet revealed details of the launch of the razr 2019 in India. However, the company has already started registrations for the device there.
The Oppo Reno S is expected to launch in December. The flagship device will reportedly come with a 64MP primary camera on the rear. It will support 65W fast charging using Super VOOC 2.0 technology. This tech is rated to charge a 4,000mAh battery from zero to 50 percent in about 10 minutes and up to 100 percent in less than 27 minutes.
The Oppo Reno S will likely feature Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855+ chipset. This is the same chipset found in the OnePlus 7T Pro, the Realme X2 Pro, the Black Shark 2 Pro, and the nubia Red Magic 3s. The Nokia 9.1 PureView and the Realme X2 Pro may also launch with the same chipset.
The Oppo Reno S may launch with Android 9-based ColorOS 6 out of the box. It will likely have a price tag of around Rs 40,000 (about $560).
Realme XT 730G (Realme X2)
Back in September, Realme launched the Realme XT. Now, the Realme XT 730G is ready for launch as a better variant of the XT. The Realme XT 730G is also known as the Realme X2.
The realme XT 730G will sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch. It will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device will feature a quad rear camera setup with a 64MP primary shooter. It will also have a 32MP selfie camera for selfie lovers.
The Realme XT 730G will feature Qualcomm’s gaming-centric Snapdragon 730 chipset. Hence, the name XT 730G. It will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery and support 30W VOOC 3.0 fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy M50
The Samsung Galaxy M50 is expected to launch in India in December as a successor to the Galaxy M40. Not much is known about the device at the moment. However, we know that it is currently in production at Samsung’s facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Reports have it that the Samsung Galaxy M50 will go on sale in retail stores and online stores on the same day.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite
Samsung is reportedly working on a Galaxy Note 10 Lite. It will simply be a more affordable version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus.
Not much is known about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite at the moment. But we know that it will launch in India in December.
