The Vivo S5 was officially released on sale a week ago, and it has record-breaking features already. Since it is available on sale, reviews have come in assessing the specs.
The Vivo S5 has been confirmed to be the first smartphone produced by a Chinese phone company, and the second phone maker after Samsung, to possess both an AMOLED display and a punch-hole design. The other devices with both features in the market are the Galaxy S10 series and Galaxy Note 10 Series.
The device has also been confirmed by Chinese Media to have the smallest punch-hole ever on a phone, with the camera hole having a diameter of 2.98mm.
The Vivo S5 has a 6.44-inch AMOLED punch-hole display. It has 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and operates on Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 Chipset. The Vivo S5 has a unique diamond quad-camera arrangement on the rear including a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, 5MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro lens. It has a 32MP front-facing camera. The device is powered by a 4,100mAh battery with a 22.5W fast-charging support.
The Vivo S5 has an under-display fingerprint sensor for security and runs on Android 9 Pie-based Funtouch OS 9.2. Available in Icelandic Blue, Phantom Blue, and Star Black color variants, the device sells for just 2698 Yuan ($380).
