WhatsApp is a text and multimedia chatting application and is currently owned by Facebook. The software is available on almost every smartphone platform available to man.

One thing users are constantly worried about is backing up their chats while switching device platforms. However, as mentioned before, the company could finally be working on allowing users to sync chats between platforms.

WABetaInfo, the source of this rumor, claims that WhatsApp is working on this feature in the background.

This feature will permit users to apply details of the same account on different devices; which signifies the acceptance of cross-platform switching.

Rumours suggest that when the functionality is available, an option for cross-platform chat syncing would be enabled.

This feature will be available with the aid of Wi-Fi connections, which is a result of its requirement for significant data for uploading and downloading chats and multimedia.
