Xiaomi and Realme have fast become top smartphone brands in Asia. Today, the Chinese smartphone makers announced that they sold more than 6 million smarphones in India this week. These sales came during Amazon’s Great Indian Festival and Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sales.
Xiaomi sold more than 5.3 million devices in India across its range of devices. The company made these sales through its official site, Amazon India, and Flipkart. These sales include smartphones, smart televisions, power banks, earphones, Bluetooth speakers, and fitness trackers. The company excitedly made this announcement through its “Mi India for #MiFans” Twitter account.
Of all the sales made, Xiaomi said that it sold more than 3.8 million smartphones during the sale. The Chinese technology giant said that this meant “a growth of 50%+ over the BEST #Diwali sale ever by any brand”.
Xiaomi was not the only brand to record massive sales in the week. Realme also sold over 2.2 million smartphones on Flipkart during this period. The company even announced that it was the smartphone category leader on Flipkart during the Big Billion Days sales.
The Diwali festival is coming later this month (October 26), and we could be getting even more offers from these brands. This will likely help them boost their sales in India more.
